Composite Learning Index
The Canadian Council on Learning provides a Composite Learning Index (CLI – Learning to Know; Do; Live Together; and Be) as a measure of learning across 4,700 Canadian cities. The CLI compares progress at the local and national levels. It was offered from 2005 to 2010, and is summarized in ‘The Canadian Composite Learning Index 2010: Five Years of Measuring Canada’s Progress in Lifelong Learning’.

EQAO
Ontario’s Educational Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) measures student achievement in reading, writing and math through tests based on provincial standards. This testing provides a gauge of student learning of provincial curriculum expectations. Each year, Ontario students in grades 3, 6 and 9 complete EQAO tests.

This infographic provides an Ontario overview of EQAO testing results for the 2013-2014 school year.
